? BODY: Katsura-wood- back and sides, Yamaha has used Katsura-woods- in its acoustic and classical guitar designs. The wood gives a beautiful finish to the instrument, and provides a rich tone.

A RARE YAMAHA NIPPON / GAKKI S-50A GUITAR;- NOT A CHEAP VERSION?
The S-50-A-NIPPON-GAKKI-
Guitar was made in the famous Nikko/Gakki factory in the late 1960's and highly collected. It was originally distributed with steel strings, but is mainly seen strung in classical strings, as is this one. Nice combination of tonal woods- that is an absolute joy to play with a superb mellow tone and rich bright highs
The guitar is in very good condition, tuned, cleaned, and polished with some dings and scuffs as might be expected from a guitar of this vintage.
There are a few minor scuffs on the back; all of the marks are cosmetic, considering the age of the guitar it is in very good condition
There are no cracks or structural problems. The neck is straight, the intonation is excellent, and the frets are still in good condition. The action is low, the neck true and straight.
Clear crisp tone
Guitar comes with used hard- case in very good condition, velour lining, and latches, lockable. (Gator cases)
